6 Weeks to Post Effective September 1, 2014, NEW Unemployment Insurance (UI) customers must post a résumé to EmployRI by the 6th consecutive week of collecting UI benefits. Failure to post your résumé within 6 weeks will cause a delay or loss of benefits.

 
 

I have a résumé in a Word or PDF file. How do I Import it to EmployRI?

  1. Log into EmployRI;
    Click Résumé Builder from the Quick Menu on the left; Click Create New Résumé.
    Select External Résumé, name it and choose employer
    accessibility type. Click Next.

  2. Click the Browse button and navigate to the résumé file
    you want to use for import. Select it and click next.

  3. Confirm the information imported from your résumé. The
    next several steps show you the data you’ve brought in
    from your résumé, and ask you to confirm that data -
    Click Next through each screen OR you can add more information. You will need to confirm the following:

    - desired work location
    - occupation and salary - education and training history
    - employment history
    - occupational licenses and awards you hold
    - technology skills
    - contact information and references

  4. Once you review the information above, Click Finish.
    Review the résumé created from your import; click
    Save Résumé and Return.

    You’re now ready to apply to jobs posted in EmployRI

    NOTE: If you’re an Unemployment Insurance claimant, the Call Center is automatically notified that you’ve met the requirement to post your résumé to EmployRI.
